In mid-November, RI President Jan Monsbakken traveled to Beijing, China to discuss accessibility issues related to development in the Asia-Pacific Region at an event coinciding with the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.

During his time in Beijing, Monsbakken met with State Councilor Wang Yong, as well as the first ladies of nine countries, including China, Singapore, New Zealand, Japan, Indonesia, Canada, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and Thailand.

State Councilor Wang Yong said China is willing to work with other countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific to help disabled people participate in regional cooperation.
