The Access 2020 Coalition

The Access 2020 Coalition has been invited to appear before the CRTC on Wednesday, 2 February at 11:45 a.m.

This is an extremely important hearing for the future of accessibility, because BCE is Canada’s largest communications company, and we need to make a strong impact. The hearing will discuss the impact and opportunities of Bell Canada’s request to purchase CTV.

Since the hearing is open to the public, we need and must try to fill the room with supporters of the Access 2020 Coalition. If you want a 100% accessible content broadcast day by 2020 – then you are a supporter.

The hearing will be held at: Conference Centre, Phase IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau, Quebec. This Centre is wheelchair accessible, and has bus service from Ottawa (and from in Gatineau).

We really need to fill the room with supporters to demonstrate to the CRTC that the time to act is now – not in a few years.
Please join us to show the CRTC that we want access to a broadcasting system that for 60 years has effectively ignored Canadians with disabilities.
