The Expert Meeting on Global Cooperation on Assistive Technology takes place 29-30 October in Beijing, China. The meeting was organized by Rehabilitation International, the World Health Organization, and China Disabled Persons’ Federation.
Assistive technology developments have helped millions of persons with disabilities around the world, and the future of the field holds plenty of promise. RI has worked hard to support the continued funding and recognition of assistive technology projects, and the Expert Meeting is an opportunity to bring together experts in the field to share best practices and innovative ideas.
The meeting has attracted important figures from various fields, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
