Assistive devices help over 15 mln disabled people in China

More than 15 million persons with disabilities in China received help from assistive devices, according to the China Assistive Devices and Technology Center for Persons with Disabilities Friday.

Over 3,000 assistive devices service organizations affiliated to disabled person’s federations offer more than 30 million assistive devices, said Li Xi, director for the center, adding that 30,000 people and more than 2,400 assistive devices service vehicles were serving in the organizations.

There are about 85 million people with disabilities in the country, and assistive technology is in great demand, said Li.
