Indonesia has won five medals at 2019 INAS Global Games in Brisbane, Australia, hoping to qualify for 2020 Tokyo Paralympics Games, an official at Indonesian Paralympic Committee said on Monday.

From the Para Games, Indonesia won the women’s 400m sprint gold, two silver medals of women’s 50m butterfly and men’s 800m run, and two bronze medals of 800m run and 4×100 medley swimming.

Delegation chef Sapta Kunta Purnama said that “Indonesian Para athletes sent to INAS Global Games are expected to earn points that qualify them to vie in 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.”

The quadrennial INAS Global Games, organized by the International Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disability (INAS), featured more than 1,000 athletes from 47 countries and regions in 10 sports and two non-medal sports.
