During this side event/webinar we will introduce the new on-line training tool for promoting inclusive education. With the financial support from the Rehabilitation International (RI) – Global Disability Development Fund (GDDF), RI Finland developed this tool to disseminate knowledge, experiences, and best practices of inclusion in education from the point of view of young people with disabilities.
The side event will provide participants an opportunity to test the tool and give direct feedback for its further development. The objective is to encourage participants to use this training material and implement training in their own environment.
The training tool consists of three viewpoints to inclusion:
Why inclusion is needed,
What inclusion is, and
How one can start implementing practices that promote inclusion.
This on-line side event/webinar is targeted for multiple stakeholders from UN, organizations of persons with disabilities, civil society, and academia to discuss inclusion in education and to highlight the importance of training and dissemination of information when promoting inclusion. The experiences of those users who have already tested the online training material will be shared in the side event.
